Painter graduated from the Professional Academy of Plastic Arts “El Alba” (Holguín) and from ISA Improvement Course for teachers of Schools of Plastic Arts ISA – CNEART. He has held 13 personal exhibitions and his works have participated in more than 30 exhibitions, competitions and collective salons in Cuba, Angola, and Italy. He has also accomplished performances and happenings and participated in the Vacutainer project, in Holguín. He has received awards in competitions in the Cuban provinces of Granma, Holguín, and Camagüey; and in the Cuba – Canada Art Student Exchange (Quebec, Canada). His works are found in private collections in Angola, Austria, Canada, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Italy, and Russia.
